Our Client is a renowned market leader in business consulting on services such as Advisory, Audit, Tax , Legal, and Accountancy for mid to large clients.

The legal team, you will become part of is providing provides tailormade legal services to their internal network on a variety of legal issues in a correct but business wise way.

We are looking for a In House Legal Advisor to join our clients legal team. The legal advisor will report to the Senior Legal Counsel. The function is located in Brussels (North) with remote and flex options.

The Position

We are actively looking for a lawyer to join the clients legal team.

The main focus will be on commercial law and on new legislation analysis to well inform the legal team on the upcoming. Besides you will work on other legal domains when internal needs.

The ideal candidate is interested and has experience in commercial law and an interest in other legal domains.

As an in-house legal advisor you will have these main responsibilities :

• you will be monitoring and reviewing relevant legal requirements applicable to the Belgian clients organization and you will translating it into applicable guidelines for our clients business on a broad range of matters, mainly in the field of Commercial Law, but besides in some matters of corporate or/ and  IP/ICT/ Privacy Law when needed
• You will advise the internal clients on these matters
• You will review, draft and negotiate various types of commercial and business contracts (e.g., general terms and conditions, license agreements, data protection agreements, lease agreements, consultancy agreements, …).
• You will contribute to the development and the update of legal templates.
• You will screen new legislation and regulation and internally update the legal team and the internal clients (info session, updated templates, newsletter, legal meeting, …)
• You will work closely with the other clients departments in order to provide the most complete assistance and advice possible, taking into account the legal framework and their business needs.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

• You hold a master’s degree in law
• You have 2 to 4 years relevant professional experience (law firm, in – house legal department)
• Your interest goes to commercial law
• You also like to stay ahead when it comes to new regulation/ legislation
• You are eager to learn and able to understand complex legal issues and to give precise and clear advice
• You have strong analytical and writing skills
• You are fluent in Dutch and English and have a good level in French
• You are a real team player
• You are business oriented, proactive and creative, yet precise.
