To support and reinforce their team at the client they are looking for a pragmatic and proactive IT Expert with a broad interest.

 

The Position

As an IT Specialist, you will be a key contributor to our IT department, responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT systems, supporting automation developments, and contributing to web design and development projects. This role demands a hands-on approach to IT administration, a creative mindset for web design, and proficiency in both front-end and back-end web development technology. We are looking for a proactive candidate who knows how to get things done and who has a first experience (internship) with: software development, web development or IT administration, who also is open for IT support questions from his colleagues.

You will report to the Lead IT of the region, who is currently working abroad but will be available for questions.  You will nevertheless work very autonomously.

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The position will have these main three responsibilities:

Software Development

• Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications
• Utilize a range of technologies, including JavaScript, .NET, web services, and databases
• Collaborate with different departments to support automation initiatives
• Troubleshoot and debug web application issues as they arise

Web Development

• Create visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts and designs
• Utilize CSS/HTML to implement responsive and interactive web designs
• Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure web content is engaging and aligned with branding guidelines
• Stay up to date with design trends and best practices

IT Administration:

• Manage and maintain workstations, servers, and backups to ensure seamless IT operations.
• Oversee phone lines and internet connectivity to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
• Collaborate with external IT vendors when necessary for hardware and software procurement.
• Ensure cybersecurity measures are implemented and up to date.

Keep an eye on the hardware needs of the local team.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

• You hold a Bachelor in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• You are familiar with software development expertise, C#, including front-end and back-end (.NET) technologies
• You hold strong web design skills with proficiency in JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• You have familiarity with database management and web service development
• You have a creative mindset and an eye for detail in (web) design
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team
• You hold strong communication skills
• Both your skills in English and Dutch are proficient to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams
• You are proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• You have a good experience in IT administration, including workstation and server management is a plus!
