E&I Engineer – East Flanders

active with locations around the globe as they continue delivering some of the most challenging
technology facilities in the world.

The role
In order to support its development, our client is looking for a Senior E&I Engineer for Life Sciences
Projects and for the Belgium office (East Flanders – at the client).

Your duties and responsibilities

In the context of your mission, you will be responsible for:

❖ Ensuring a supervising E&I disciplines from the design phase until qualification and handover to
the client in projects in a variety of industries – but mainly life sciences
❖ Analyzing and providing resolution of technical issues, perform engineering design tasks
❖ Processing of all project phases from concept via basic and detail engineering.
❖ Scheduling, cost control, safety review, site supervision and commissioning.
❖ Developing and reviewing engineering and vendor documents and support Project Execution.
❖ Supporting daily construction and project related activities.
❖ Approving vendor and contractor submittals and answering all technical queries.
❖ Knowing, applying and developing the client E&I engineering policies and standards
❖ Ensuring incorporation of all cGMP, client specific quality requirements, supporting with client
quality audits if needed
❖ Supervising of design compliance during construction phase
❖ Ensuring incorporation of all safety and quality, client specific requirements
❖ Controlling the codes and standards legally & contractually required

Your profile

• You hold a Master´s degree in Electrical engineering or other relevant field
• You hold a BA4 minimum
• You have 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience as an E&I engineer in the Life Sciences
  industry, or related industries.
• You have proven experience in E&I engineering coordination, construction and
  commissioning.
• You have the knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards is highly appreciated
  (Belgian electrical standards, AREI etc.)
• You are committed, flexible, creative, assertive, communicative, motivated and wellorganized.
• You like working in a team but you can also function in an independent and safe way, you
  will be able to perceive useful items from the field to fulfil in a design.
• Used to contacts with Health and Safety, Design Team , Project engineers/managers, Construction team , Customer and  Subcontractors
